to provide easier accessibility to both private and public buildings, built or re-developed
January 1st, 2005.
The EcoLEDLighting Emergency Lighting solution was designed to comply with
The
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Self-contained mains-powered with battery backup lighting, enclosed within
the balustrade / handrail assembly
- In emergency mode, the system provides up to 2 hours (optional 4 hours) of
30-50% dimmed illumination to current H & S standards
- Provides ambient illumination at all times and dims into low-light condition in
an emergency situation (mains power off)
Specifically designed to guide light onto the stairs & floors of emergency exits &
corridors and areas where a hazardous or explosive environment exists and durability is
essential. They are also designed for all interior and exterior walkways where handrails
are used.
Available to mount a range of handrails between ø38mm and ø76mm railings. All
EcoLEDLighting products are 100% recyclable.

Emergency electrical backup power supply is installed within the tubular structure of the balustrade/handrail.
Battery pack is pre-charged with a single mains cable leads to the power supply. All electronic controls/wiring
looms/lights, etc. are internally fitted.
